AL SALAM ALYKOM
i am sorry i can`t type arabic ..ubuntu doesn`t support it
but i am here cuz i need help with the sudo command
here is the scenario:
if i typed a command that changes directory to another file
and in that directory i executed a command of a sorterd listing somthing like that ls al |sort )
and i want to type the info into atext file using pico

so i used sudo command to be able to write to root

then typed password but nothing happed


where did the file that icreated go?
and can i write the info i got in the main directory ?

by the way the password is fine ,cuz if it wasn`t i would get i msg

what should i do to type a result of a command in text using pico when i am in a root directory
