i've recently and finally customize multimedia files on fedora through multiple times by tring several apps and several guides and i get those and would love to share this with you:
firstly you should setup repos and i'll setup several of it but just the best:
login as root and execute the following :
1- REPOs
---->Livna :
now you have livna repos are installed and this is away to protect this repos by installing a package called yum-protectbase:
and to protect livna and fedora execute this :
---->Atrpms and we will make it manually by this:
---->FreshRPMS
---->Google
now we finished setting up powerfull repos
2-and starting installing good apps :
mplayer
be carefull i tried mplayer and caused problems for me i install it and play it's core only with avery beautiful app called Kplayer
3-now installing xine engine and this is very important because alot of apps depending on its package like the great amarok
installing its codecs
4-VLC
installing windows codecs we will down them from mplayer site :
now to play sound and specially mp3 playback
gnome
kde
5-Rhythmbox/Gstreamer
mp3 and other file formats support :
6-Amarok
to add mp3 support to amarok just
7-Audacious
i love this app very mush it's colors are fantastic and support mp3 and other format plz try it
8-XMMS the old but wonderful and pretyy like linux winamp
at end those are not all apps but i prefer them
this topic i collect it from many other resources and share it with you for benefit for us all . and the next topic will be about the easiest way to install compiz without problems .thanxxxxx
